乐团介绍 About The Sirius Ensemble

The Sirius Ensemble由美国巴松管演奏家Michael和法国作曲家/电吉他手Pierre共同成立于广州，旨在发展中国南方的新音乐。尽管乐团主要是演奏现代音乐，同时也追求巴洛克时期和古典时期的经典杰作音乐。此外，乐团并不是只限定在3名音乐家的局限里，可以很容易的添加更多的演奏者。

The Sirius Ensemble was co-created in Guangzhou by American bassoonist Michael R. Garza (bassoon) and French composer/guitarist Pierre Stordeur (electric guitar) with the aim of developing new music in southern China.

While the ensemble aims at performing mostly contemporary music, it also pursues original arrangements of early masterpieces from the Baroque and Classical periods of musical history. Furthermore, the ensemble is not solely limited to three musicians as depending on the particular program, it is easily adapted to accommodate additional performers.

成员介绍 Members Instroduction:

Michael从2001年起就任广州交响乐团首席巴松管。毕业于贝勒大学, 1998年毕业后任职于奥斯汀交响乐团作为第三巴松管和低音巴松管演奏者。2000年, Michael在耶鲁大学师从Frank Morelli。作为一名活跃在广州的室内演奏者，自从2001年加入广州交响乐团，Michael在世界各地进行随团演出。在广州也一直从事教育工作，过去及现在的学生已经就读于音乐学院，如奥伯林音乐学院，因特劳肯艺术学院，并且成为广州青年管弦交响乐团的成员。

Michael R. Garza has been working as the principal bassoonist with the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra since 2001. A Baylor University graduate, Michael received his BM in 1998 with Dr. Kenton Moore and also worked with the Austin Symphony Orchestra as the 3rd bassoonist and contra bassoonist from 1997-98. In 2000, Michael received his MM at Yale University with Dr. Frank Morelli. An active chamber musician in Guangzhou, since joining the GSO in 2001, Michael has performed throughout Asia, Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, the USA and Australia with the orchestra. Continually teaching in Guangzhou throughout his stay in China, past and current students have attended such conservatories as Oberlin and Interlochen and have become members of the Guangzhou Symphony Youth Orchestra.

Pierre出生于1980年，师从法国作曲家Alain Féron学习作曲。 2008年，他为女高音和交响乐团创作的Zomtah的作品在慕尼黑赢得了第五届宝马国际音乐比赛二等奖，该作品在2009年1月被澳大利歌唱家Cornelia Horak，德国指挥家Georg Schmöhe及巴伐利亚交响乐团首次公演。2012年，Pierre在声学与音乐研究中心学习电子音乐课程，当时是la Cité des Arts驻巴黎的作曲家。最近他正在与巴黎交响乐团L'Instant Donné及比利时二重奏Duo NOVArs合作。Pierre在大学学习音乐学，并且起音乐分析在Conservatoire National de Musique et de Danse de Paris获得一等奖。现在Pierre在中国以作曲家及音乐人的身份致力于发展和推广现代音乐。

Born in 1980, Pierre Stordeur studied composition with french composer Alain Féron. After being composer in residence in the Herrenhaus, Edenkoben, Germany, in 2007, he won the 2nd prize of the International BMW/Musica Viva composition competition, 5th edition, Munich, in 2008, with his piece Zomtah for soprano and orchestra. This piece was première in January 2009 by Austrian singer Cornelia Horak, German conductor Georg Schmöhe and the Symphonie orchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks. In 2012, Pierre Stordeur followed the electronic music cursus in Ircam. He was at that time composer in residence in la Cité des Arts, Paris, France. He recently collaborated with parisian ensemble L'Instant Donné and belgium duo Duo NOVArs.

Pierre Stordeur studied musicology in Burgundy University and has a first prize in musical analysis from the Conservatoire National de Musique et de Danse de Paris. He is now involved into developing and promoting contemporary music in China as composer and musician.

杨静自2015年起，成为广州交响乐团永久中提琴手。杨静自1994年起学习小提琴，师从上海交响乐团小提琴独奏温明明。2008年，她开始学习中提琴，并在上海音乐学院取得本科学历。2010年，她获得北京夏令营中提琴比赛一等奖，并取得百川比赛新作品演绎第二名。2012年于上海音乐学院毕业后，前往德国弗莱堡音乐学院，师从Wolfram Christ (超过20年柏林爱乐乐团中提琴独奏）。

最近参与了广州星海音乐厅第二届新音乐演奏会表演Sofia Gubaidulina的Quasi Hoquetus，巴松管，中提琴和钢琴三重奏。

Yang Jing is a permanent viola p at Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra since 2015.

Yang Jing studied violin since 1994, an specialized with 温明明 (Wen MingMing), violin solo from the Shanghai Symphonic Orchestra. In 2008, she studied viola and integrated the Shanghai Conservatory (bachelor degree). In 2010, she won the first price of the Beijing Summer Campus Viola Competition and received the second price of Interpretation for new Composition of the Bai Chuan Competition. After graduated from Shanghai Conservatory in 2012, she followed a master degree in the Freiburg National Conservatory, Germany, and studied with Prof. Wolfram Christ (Viola Solo of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra over a period of 2O years).

She recently took part in the 2nd Annual Recital of New Music at the Xinghai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou, China where she performed Sofia Gubaidulina's Quasi Hoquetus trio for bassoon, viola and piano.
